MICHAEL CUMMINS · FOUNDER, SAAS SCALERS

Operator first. Teacher second. Founder alongside you.

I teach enterprise sales the way I learned it: inside real companies, with real buyers, real consequences, and no room for vague advice.

From a restaurant floor to building enterprise sales teams.

I spent a decade managing restaurants before I sold nearly everything, drove across the United States with $1,300, and started over. There was no polished career plan—just a willingness to learn, work, and sell.

That path led to Google, where I was one of 32 hires selected to help take Apps for Work to market. From there I joined AlienVault while it was still early, helped it grow through its acquisition by AT&T, led enterprise sellers at WP Engine, and helped build Cloudflare’s Austin operation through its IPO.

I eventually became Cloudflare’s Head of Training, cut ramp time from roughly nine months to three, and trained more than 1,000 sellers. In later early-stage roles, I helped founders turn instinctive selling into repeatable revenue motions.

Across all of it, the pattern stayed the same: the strongest systems begin with someone learning how the product actually gets bought. That is why SaaS Scalers starts with the founder.

THE OPERATING BELIEFS

01

Founders should learn the motion.

Do not hire someone else to discover how your product gets sold. Learn it, create evidence, and then make it transferable.

02

Give away knowledge.

The method is free. You pay for judgment applied to your company, your active deals, and the systems only your business needs.

03

Specific beats performative.

Exact language, decisions, artifacts, and examples beat guru certainty, inflated claims, and “10x” slogans every time.
